Banh Khot, Banh Xeo: are a long-standing cake, present all over the country, but each region has a different way of making banh khot, imbued with the flavor of each region. This is considered the king of cakes, it is loved by many international friends

Banh Khot is round like banh beo, but cooked by frying in a mold with oil similar to banh xeo. The step of mixing the dough is extremely important because the flour-rich water will break easily during the frying process. Without water, the cake will be hard and no longer chewy.

Because the dough and filling for banh khot are similar to banh xeo, the ingredients are very diverse. The cake dough has turmeric, coconut milk, eggs, spices and onions. Westerners prefer a fatty and sweet taste, so the cake dough is seasoned with rich and creamy coconut milk.

Although the preparation method is similar to banh xeo, banh khot still has its own characteristics: it still retains the layer of dough that is just cooked and is soft and greasy on the inside but crispy on the outside.
