We arrived in Ho Chi Minh 2 days before beginning our Gate 1 Travel tour of Vietnam. Exploring the city on our own, we walked past the Independence Palace and decided to go in.
We had no idea what it would cost to enter and we were still getting used to the conversion rate. The palace admission was 40.000 VND/person $1.63 USD for the self-guided tour.
