Naperville Railfanning

Last time we were in Naperville, we woke up to a winter wonderland. Since it continued to snow throughout that day, we had to cut things early so we would have a reasonable amount of time left to get back home. Ironically, we ended up getting some snow overnight and there is some snow still being seen around Naperville. However, the temperatures certainly felt like winter instead of what we were hoping for. While it remained cold for most of the day in Naperville, the rail action was the total opposite. Most of the morning was quite busy with a good mix of Metra trains and BNSF freight trains. Just before having our lunch break, the action gradually settled down but it didn’t take long for the trains to get back underway again especially towards the end of the day. Overall, it was certainly another good day on the BNSF Racetrack. Coming up next is another return trip back to the BNSF. This time, we head a little bit eastbound to Hinsdale.
