Vegan sourdough naan recipe #VeganSourdoughNaan
- 400 grams Plain flour or bread flour
- 400ml Vegan Greek Yogurt substitute (Like the one I used in this video)
- 80 grams Sourdough starter or what some people call sourdough discard (Sourdough 'discard' is #SourdoughStarter
- Salt
Herbs and spices (optional)
(If the dough is too sticky add more flour. If it is too dry add more vegan GreeK yogurt substitute. This is because flour differs and your may need more or less wet ingredients)
Method : Vegan sourdough naan recipe
- Put the flour, salt and herbs in a bowl
- Make a well in the centre and add the #SourdoughStarter
- Add yoghurt a bit at a time and mix well to form a dough ball
- Knead with hands and cover the bowl with clingfilm put to the side and leave for a few hours (about 4-5 hours depending on the weather)
- Divide the dough into 8 pieces and roll each one into a thin circle. You may need some flour if it sticks to your work surface
- Preheat a pan and start cooking one at a time and turning it a few times until it is cooked.
