In this video, I'll show you how I designed and 3D printed a self-watering flower pot with a unique inner design. You may have noticed the dying plant in the background of my videos, and I knew I needed to do something about it. So, I decided to put my 3D printing skills to the test and create a self-watering system.
In this video, I'll take you through my design choices and techniques, including using built-in supports and layering to control bridging. I'll also test a trick I learned to help the roots access the water using string yarn. Plus, I'll address some common misconceptions about the biodegradability of PLA, a commonly used material for 3D printing flower pots.
