Do you wish you could do counted cross stitch on regular fabric and not just stick to traditional aida cloth, evenweave like Lugana, Monaco, or Verdahl, or evenweave linen?

Well, you can! In this video, we discuss how to cross stitch directly onto canvas fabrics that aren't evenweaves.

This video is a tutorial on how to cross stitch on canvas using three different methods. First, we do demonstrations using waste canvas to create an evenweave pattern on top of the fabric and then directly onto the regular fabric taking into account the irregular count.

While we demo how to DIY a cross stitch project bag and tote bag, these two methods can be used to cross stitch on a wide variety of canvas objects.

Finally, we point you to resources to do giant one-inch cross stitch on canvas on wooden frames.
