Many of you from last year might remember the project lawn I worked on. Well, it's back for another season!! In today's video I went back out to the project lawn to kick off this year's round of applications. Obviously we are in a different (and certainly much better) spot than we were in last year at this time so our strategy will be quite different this year than last. Our goal this year is to continue feeding and improving this lawn to keep it one of the best in the neighborhood.

To kick off this season, we started with a light dethatching as I recommend doing in the spring. Since my uncle's yard is a little larger than mine it took us a bit longer but still manageable with the small SunJoe dethatcher. After dethatching and cleaning up we applied some fertilizer to this lawn and pre-emergent to prevent weeds fron invading. We used a cheap menards fertilizer/weed preventer combo to get all this down in one app, nice, quick and easy!
