Wow…I thought April was a busy month in the gardening calendar, but September has been full on, crazy busy! Join me in my home allotment, where I garden in raised beds, following a minimal dig approach. I have a polytunnel and two Halls Greenhouses for undercover growing too.

The weeds are on a mission to take over, the grass is growing rapidly and the harvests keep coming. Add to that clearing away summer crops that have finished, along with the autumn prep jobs that are filling the todo list, it seems there’s literally not enough hours in the day. To be fair, with he nights drawing in, there really isn’t enough daylight hours right now!

Join me as I tidy up the grass on the plot, vainly attempt to keep my sweet peas going a bit longer, show you how I’m protecting my pongo bean seeds and then tackle the job I’ve been putting off all month in the polytunnel.

Don’t miss the polytunnel harvest and discussing late autumn planting plan for garlic on in the kitchen garden.

It’s so hard to believe the home allotment is less than a month away from the end of the summer crops, as everywhere still looks full of abundance.

I’ll be at RHS MALVERN AUTUMN SHOW next Sunday, 29th September. Looking forward to it. Quite a few YouTubers will be going. Are you visiting the show?
