Stam Fine Reviews 2001: A Space Odyssey. Stanley Kubrick co-wrote-produced, directed and even photographed some or all of the special effects shots. He may have done more but he's clearly too modest to want more onscreen credit. 2001 is a film that shows some ape-men frolicking and then cutting to thousands of years later to show astronauts frolicking in space. It's a think piece and a head trip in one.
