If done correctly, it is possible to keep fish and plants in bowls. I used garden soil at the bottom for the growth of the plants. The plants filter the water and serve as a source of oxygen. Instead of fish like goldfish that produce large amounts of waste, it is possible to keep smaller fish, like the ones in the video example, in the bowls.
