This is what happens when a massive build up of water breaches the slope of a steep sand berm. The surfers and body boarders in this video are extremely experienced. Even to the pros were extremely hesitant to attempt riding this beast of a river wave. There are several hazards to jumping in a river wave that has this much water moving and I would highly discourage it. This is historical footage when it comes to the sheer power and magnitude of water flowing from a sand berm being breached. I believe the flow rate and height of the wave in this video is very comparable to the Waimea river wave that ‪@JamieOBrienJOB‬ rode in the winter of 2022. This phenomenon is a prime example of the extreme power that is created from water and gravity. The riders in this video include Ross, Bob Forbes, and Chad Barba. I respect that none of them risked their life for a very sketchy river wave filled with tons of debris.
