A ceremony from noon to 12:30 p.m. on July 4, 2024, will celebrate 100 years to the day "The Scout" sculpture was dedicated by Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney. The Buffalo Bill Center of the West, Cody Country Chamber of Commerce, and Cody Stampede Parade Committee will all pay homage to this iconic, venerable, and much-loved sculpture, whose silhouette continues to be used for business and government logos in and around Cody.
