Tea, or "Camellia Sinensis", is, to East Asians, an old drink stooped in folklore and mythologies, and though the rest of the world is comparatively new to the drink, it's no less influential; this video briefly discusses the journey of tea, from the jungles and hills of South East Asia, to Japan and Korea, and from there to Europe, and from Europe to everywhere else.

Particularly (perhaps out of bias), this video focusses on the British and Irish, and how they acquired tea, then came to view it as "their" drink. This isn't to say that the journey of tea isn't related to other countries as much if not more! But the acquisition of tea by the British allowed it to increase supply throughout the world, turning it from an expensive novelty into a staple. Bizarrely, the British wanted to "Anglicise" the Indians, so attempted to give them tea.
