Welcome to our first-time watching as we react to Alien: Covenant (2017).

Ridley Scott's "Alien: Covenant" is an intense sci-fi horror film and the continuation of the Prometheus storyline set in the Alien Saga. This Alien prequel continues blending terrifying encounters with philosophical themes.

The crew of the Covenant ship discovers a dark and hostile world filled with deadly secrets, leading to some truly shocking moments. Some of the direction the story took was quite interesting. We finally got to learn the origin to the big bad guy of the franchise "The Xenomorph".

Some of the scenes in here had us horrified and at the edge of our seat, the Neomorph was also quite gnarly!

This film did have it's issues but that third act was a fantastic way to end the movie! Michael Fassbender steals the show once again with his David and now second role Walter. Katherine Waterston who plays Daniels really grew on us especially once that third act started kicking in she felt quite reminiscent to hero yet to come in this universe.

Alien: Covenant did not deliver any more insight about the Engineers which was a bit of a let down, visually this movie is incredible and the Xenomorph returns with a bang!
