The best way to prevent a relationship with a narcissist is by learning about their red flags, learning about what we deserve in our relationships; things like mutual respect and actual intimacy with another person, and then learning how to set healthy boundaries. Regardless of whether you've already been in a toxic relationship or you're just trying to prevent one, you never deserve to be yelled at, cursed at, shamed, belittled, invalidated or touched when you don't want to be touched, and I'm so sorry for anyone who has experienced any of those.
