Some more footage from the vaults. Interesting cross between classic indie mixed with a strong funky feel on this song, so always a good one to play live. I distinctively remember that Morrissey had told us to drop the atmospheric mid section out of the song for whatever personal reason he had, but in band rehearsal it sounded so good we opted to keep it in & play our version to him once he joined us for our final rehearsals in Phoenix, Arizona. He seemed to like what he heard & it even became a featured part of the set during this period. Generally the main melody in the quiet section that appears around the 2 mins 50 secs mark, was played on guitar by Boz Boorer, but on this particular night he plays it on the melodica.. I guess it was an experiment that didn't really work as you can't hear the first half of it & I don't remember that instrument making an appearance in that song ever again.. The audience always seemed to enjoy the build up back into the main section of the song as you can hear in this video.
