The zucchini is ready …. When it’s the size you like! I don’t like ours getting much bigger than this because it seems to happen overnight! You’ll see it one day as a cute little babe and then BOOM the next day it’s too bit.

If you take the zucchini off when they’re small like this, it allows the plant to continue to produce more and they’re all this nice tender sweet Zucchini fruit instead of being tough and hard.

We get questions sometimes if we use the zucchini, flowers, and we don’t because we don’t have enough zucchini plants to pillage the flowers, instead we want it to focus on growing the fruit.
