Doris Eaton came to demonstrate her rug hooking at the DesBrisay Museum in Bridgewater in February of 2013, as part of a public demonstration of local handicrafts. She was interviewed by Martin Sander, a member of museum staff at the time. Although Doris passed away in 2019, her reach and impact continues to live on to this day. As Doris states in this video: "There's an artist in everybody, and I think it's important for me to bring that out," and it was by this conviction that Doris truly lived.

From October to December of 2021, the museum was thrilled to honour her in a display of a vibrant collection of just a few of the many rugs that she hooked throughout her lifetime.
