Chapter two ends by telling us “Many wonders and signs were being performed through the apostles.” (2:43) Luke tells us of one of those in today’s passage.
We’ll see Peter address the crowd after the miracle of healing a man born lame. The man wasn’t seeking healing, he was looking for pocket change. Peter gives him a complete and total transformational change instead.
It’s a real miracle that happened to a real man that begins a real series of events. This miracle, like all miracles, also gives us a great illustration and revelation of God’s truth. It’s filled with many details that provide great imagery that speaks to us today.
