Today I am taking the valve cover and upper timing covers off to fix an oil leak in the spark plug wells of cylinders 1 & 2. I am also going to set my cam timing back to factory spec. While advancing the cam gears feels like it is giving me a little more low end torque, I feel like torque is falling short of the normal 5800 rpm drop off.

There will be a few more tips and tricks in the video for setting things back up and parts to consider if you are planning to add a forced induction device on your car, or if you already have forced induction and are having problems blowing off pipes. I will also do my best to walk you through how to set cam timing using Jim Wolf adjustable timing gears. This process should be the same no matter the engine, just make sure you pay attention to the insert in the package with them to understand how much timing you are adding or subtracting. That may be different for your application.
