Arley Mendez, the 2017 world weightlifting champion is back and he is looking strong! There are several extremely strong weightlifters who can make a run at the win here, including world record holders Li Dayin and Tian Tao who both just clean and jerked 200kg. Their heavier teammate Liu Huanhua lifted 210kg overhead, and Olympic champion Wang Zhouyu snatched 123kg. The Bulgarians are back in a big way with Andreev Bozhidar leading the way with a 170kg snatch. Finally we saw Solfrid Koanda make an enormous 150kg clean and jerk. Incredible!
