Seymour Duncan Hot Rodded Humbucker set vs Gibson 490r and 498t. Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB in the bridge and Seymour Duncan SH-2n Jazz Model in the neck.

I've wanted to replace the stock Gibson 490r and 498t humbuckers from my SG for a while as I have the same set in my Les Paul.

These Seymour Duncan Hot Rodded Humbuckers have alnico V magnets in both pickups whereas the Gibson humbuckers have a combination of alnico II and Alnico V. Also the Seymour Duncan Hot Rodded Humbucker Bridge pickup (Seymour Duncan SH4-JB) is hotter than the Gibson 498t
