Vintage 8mm Quincy Ma., Holiday Parades, late 1950's. Recorded by Quincy resident Dan Marini. This degraded VHS transfer is now "stretched," to the max.
Also the 2nd half of this original parade transfer was recently enhanced with vibrant color:

Dan was filming his daughter's Linda & Janet (Majorettes) but kept the camera rolling through much of each of the two parades. This is the 1st (darker) 1/2. The 2nd 1/2 is linked above.
Unknowingly he captured a true piece of Americana. Dan passed away in 2006 at age 90. Sadly the original footage was discarded. All that remains is a fading 1980's VHS dub.
The tape's VOB files have been archived & enhanced as best as possible by Larry Tocci.
You're now looking at 4th generation. 8mm (original) to a fair quality VHS transfer, a conversion to digital, & youtube. This scene has now been "stretched," to the max, and while there is added grain, it is also easier to watch.
Click on the times listed below to take you to the exact spot where Linda & Janet appear.
Linda is seen coming into view at 00:36 (Majorette to your left).
Mrs. Clara Marini along with daughter Janet are visible at
3:20 walking across the street (Sears is in the background), to see Linda following the parade.
