I make a Metal Firepit to do Campfire and Dutch oven cooking with a swinging pot hanger - repurpose Scrap Metal Project.

I repurpose old rusty scrap metal, to make an outdoor cook station with a swinging pot hanger and my rebar crossbar with hooks and 4 loose butcher hooks also. We love open-fire cooking and Dutch oven cooking when we are camping, and now with this metal firepit cooking setup, we can do it all at home also, without the need to travel.

This was an enjoyable metalworking project for me, and even better is this project will be staying home with us, and I think will get quite a bit of use.

It is made from old rusty loading ramps for loading bobcat loaders onto a truck, and the metal is quite thick, it was to be scrap metal, but I saw the potential of a good project and now I have a metal fire pit.
It is quite heavy, it is 78 kg (171 pounds). I have a nice spot for this to sit and I don't think it will get moved much.

The main tools used were a MIG welder, angle grinder, drill, and bench vise.

Tools / Supplies, I often use are.
