This video is about my researching the history of the gateway experience meditation course from the origins to modern day.

The Gateway Experience is a training system that aims to improve the frequency
and amplitude of brainwave output between the left and right hemispheres,
which could alter consciousness and allow people to escape the physical world.
The process is based on research by radio broadcasting executive Robert Monroe,
who studied the effects of sound on human consciousness in the 1950s. The Gateway Experience involves:
Consciousness-altering techniques: Such as hypnosis, transcendental meditation, and biofeedback
Hemi-Sync: When both hemispheres of the brain are in synchronization
Resonant humming: Listening to a tape and mimicking the sound

The Gateway Experience is the subject of a 29-page
1983 CIA report titled “Analysis and Assessment of the Gateway Process” written by U.S. Army Lt. Colonel Wayne McDonnell.
The report was declassified in 2003. Some believe the report was part of the CIA's investigation into the possibility of using mind control for its Cold War espionage efforts.

(October 30, 1915 – March 17, 1995) was an American radio broadcasting executive who became known for his ideas about altered states of consciousness.
Robert Monroe, a broadcasting executive from New York, began having experiences that led to the development of the Gateway Program in 1958. Monroe was known for his ideas on altered states of consciousness and founded The Monroe Institute, which continues to promote these ideas.
