I thought Oasis' were only in dreams! But there's a real city built around an oasis 1.5 hours from Dubai on the UAE border with Oman. It's called Al Alin.

Besides being an oasis, Al Alin is a significant city because it's where Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan is from! He's responsible for uniting the United Arab Emirates. We go to visit the very house he lived in, then to the oasis farms, and up to the highest point in the region - Jebel Hafeet.
