PAINTING VIDEO DESCRIPTION – This painting tutorial will take you through easy step-by-step instructions on how to paint this beautiful pet and person portraiture image of "HORSE HUGS" with acrylic paint. In literature, folklore and mythology, horses symbolize determination, endurance, valor, freedom, travel, beauty, majesty, and spirit, and, for this little girl, her horse has deeper meaning—it’s a friend and companion. Every Saturday morning after she eats breakfast, watches her favorite cartoons, does her homework and chores, she goes to the horse stables and feeds, rides, and brushes her pet pony, but, before heading back home in the evening for dinner, she always takes a moment to show her love for her cuddly colt by giving him a great, big, hug. Unspoken words through touch and hugs show love, affection, compassion, and commitment, especially to our pets. With their ability to learn quickly, problem solve and remember things for a long time, horses are among the most intelligent animals on the planet, and this child’s marvelous mare is no different. This sultry stallion is reassured that he is loved, and that his little precious princess will be back soon by this special embrace. So, join me for this canvas painting tutorial and learn how to paint this endearing moment in time that embodies a bond between friends. The first lesson you’ll learn is how to use simple painting techniques for blending the out of focus background for added depth and atmospheric dimension, using natural and heavenly colors to create a warm bubbly country farm feel to your canvas, perfect for capturing the essence of an embrace. With only a few swirls of the brush, you’ll easily paint a fun aura that emits positive energy, drawing the viewer closer into the scene. Then, after using chalk to draw the outline for your mustang and youngster, you’ll then learn how to mix paint and create the ideal tones for the fur, hair and shirt. The next art tip you’ll learn in this canvas painting lesson is how to paint wrinkles and form in the clothing with a simple blending technique, making it look so realistic that you could almost reach out and touch the cotton. Then you’ll create realistic looking dimension with properly placed highlights and shadows on your beautiful bronco to accentuate contour and form, followed by layering colors to create a realistic 3-D effect like a photograph. You’ll then use these same techniques when painting the child’s hair and the handsome haflinger’s mane. The final touches of this portrait scenery portrait painting will be the addition of a sweet head piece of flowers and leaves with complimentary colors to give a real POP to the creation! Have fun and change up the horse and turn it into a pony, unicorn or Pegasus. Change the human figure into a boy, lady, man, fairy or any person in your family. This is your creation—make it whatever you want! Using only 2 brushes and 6 colors we'll create this conversational masterpiece that is sure to spark conversation and bring a smile to everyone’s face. Not just a beautiful painting, but an easy painting for beginners. So, let's get painting and let's get sipping!
