Using figurative language in our writing is crucial to engage our readers, so in this video, we explore metaphors and compare them to similes to help children become more aware of language features! We go through some example sentences that demonstrate metaphors and how they are different to similes. At the end of the video, children are given the opportunity to apply what they have learned with a matching activity.
