In this video, I show how I weave danish cord using a figure 8 pattern. The trick is to do an extra wrap around the panel before doing the second half of the figure 8 pattern.

A disclaimer, I spent endless energy getting the danish cord super tight around the panels while weaving it, I then placed them right next to my wood stove. The cord is now a bit saggy. I know I can take the time to tighten it and I will as some point. I first waited to see if it would correct/tighten itself in the non wood stove seasons. It did not. I would advise to not use danish cord on anything that is going to be near direct dry heat. I'll use this figure 8 pattern in a future bench build but won't have the furniture piece near my wood stove.
