Elk River Hiking Trail Backpacking Trip

Got out for a weekend hiking with my oldest son, Justin. We got in about 13.5 miles. This is a 15 mile hiking trail just outside of Independence, KS. There are some great rock formations, and if you time it right you may find some awesome waterfalls.

I took a lot of gear with me to test, in this one I had the following new gear:

Toaks Siphon stove

I replaced the continuous ridgeline on one of the tarps with Stingers and line from Dutchware Gear

and a DCWO custom knife
