Want to optimize your filter for maximum efficiency? In this tutorial I'll explain how I configure my filter up to handle a fully stocked 40 gallon angelfish aquarium. This method of adding additional sponge increases the ability for the filter to process waste, ammonia and nitrite. By adding additional sponge, you will also greatly increase the surface area the beneficial bacteria have to grow on.
