Landscape soap technique #soapchallengeclub - cold process soap making with frame.
This is My entry for the March 2024 Soap Challenge club called "The Four Seasons". This month we had to make a framed landscape soap.
I can't even express in words how much I enjoyed this challenge. Even though the road to these soaps was very thorny and difficult. Who knows me, the first thing that came to my mind was the sun, the rainbow 🌈 of the mountain.
But then my dear friend Jindra sent me an amazing picture of the purple sunset over the mountains and I said yes! That's exactly it. I will show you the result in another video, but without scrapers I was lost 😢
So I spent half of Sunday making scrapers based on the Canva picture of the snowy purple mountains and started on another soap. I made three blocks of soaps: Purple mountains – Lavender FO, Green mountains – Mint eucalyptus FO and Blue mountains with fresh FO .....snow everywhere.
When everything was done, I realized who wants to watch three colors of winters soaps when it's finally spring? 😮 😂
From that came the idea to make four seasons, when I already have the winter, right? But in the end, I didn't like the finished winter and made a new one 😊.....uffffffffff, so four more blocks of soap. Cut everything, clean it, make the frame, carve the shadows...
And thanks to all this, I realized even more how much I love soap making❤️ I was calm and enjoying every minute with the soap. It was incredible therapy.
Thanks to a wonderful Excel spreadsheet from Roxanne Moore @CapricaSoapery, I was able to accurately calculate the amount of soap for each layer, and I thank you from the bottom of my ❤️ for this. It helped a lot.
