Rooks calling from a rookery. The Rook is named after it's harsh call which it makes while in flight and also when perched in trees at a roost or nesting site.

Rooks are gregarious birds and usually feed, roost and nest in flocks. The nest site is called a rookery. Alongside the sound of Rook calls, this video features a glimpse of Rook chicks in the next and an older chick that has left the next getting fed by its parent. The Rook chick can also be heard calling as it demands more food.
