Hey folks,

If you saw the first video on my new HW77K, one of the main things that turned me off was the TWANG! It sounded like a cheap Daisy BB gun. I think for the money they ask for these things they should sound a little more solid than a $30 gun.

Anyway, I did a cheap tune job costing about $6. I think that the sound, cycle and small increase in FPS was worth the time and now I feel soooooo much better about my purchase. I just wish that they would come this way from the factory instead of having to tear the gun down and redo it.

Either way, this was very satisfying and rewarding and I hope that you too will be encouraged to make your airguns better shooters! You can do it!

What I did-

Disassembled gun and cleaned parts
polished stock spring ends and metal base of spring guide where spring rests.
Polished inside diameter of entire spring length.
Increased diameter of spring guide with electrical shrink tubing to remove slop.
Added JM "old school" buttons to piston
deburred sharp edges on internal metal parts (cocking slot, reciever)
Softened breech end of barrel for less damage when loading pellets and smoother loading
Softened crown of barrel (had sharp edges at end of rifling)
Degreased trigger unit and relubed (no disassembly) Will rework trigger at later date.
Relubed with proper lubes and amounts.
Reassembled and go have some fun shooting!
