Air India flight from Trichy to Sharjah has encountered a landing gear issue. The aircraft has been diverted back to Trichy Airport and is currently circling to burn off fuel. Preparations are underway for a potential belly landing, with 18 fire engines on standby.
An Air India Express flight, operating from Trichy to Sharjah, made a precautionary landing at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport after departing from Tiruchirappalli at around 10:45 am. The airport authority declared a full emergency as a safety measure. The aircraft, flight IX613, landed without incident following technical issues, ensuring the safety of all passengers and crew on board.
