「雙城青年文化人才交流計劃」為香港故宮文化博物館主辦的旗艦青年交流項目，旨在推動香港與北京青年透過藝術文化交流激發創意思維、擴闊視野，藉此培育新一代文化人才。計劃的支持單位包括中華人民共和國文化和旅遊部港澳台辦公室、故宮博物院和香港特別行政區政府駐北京辦事處，首席贊助為太古地產，項目夥伴為教育燃新。

計劃為期兩年，以「博物館及城市創新」為主題。首屆計劃於2022–2023年舉行，95位來自京港兩地的大學生參與為期四個月的線上交流之旅。2023年，第二屆計劃由線上走到線下，16位京港大學生（每個城市各 8 位）參與為期兩個月的暑期文化交流，於兩地進行實體交流及於香港進行四星期的實習。在完成暑期學習旅程後，同學們以「未來的博物館」為題，組成團隊，將創新提案轉化為試行原型方案，並分別於香港三所博物館中實踐，以回應博物館的未來發展需要。

Organised by the Hong Kong Palace Museum, its flagship Bi-city Youth Cultural Leadership Programme aims to encourage cultural exchange between young people in Hong Kong and Beijing. By broadening their horizons and fostering their creativity, we seek to nurture the next generation of cultural talents in both cities. The Programme is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China, the Palace Museum, and the Office of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) of the People’s Republic of China in Beijing (Beijing Office), with Swire Properties as Lead Sponsor and Ednovators as Programme Partner.

Centred around the theme “Museum and City Innovation”, the first edition of this two-year programme took place online in 2022–2023. 95 university students from Beijing and Hong Kong participated over a four-month period. In 2023, the second edition moved from online to offline, with 16 students from Beijing and Hong Kong (eight from each city) joining a two-month in-person summer cultural exchange across both cities, as well as conducting internships in Hong Kong. After completing their summer exchange, the students teamed up to develop creative ideas on the topic “Reimagining the Future of Museums” and had the chance to put their prototypes into practice in three museums in Hong Kong.
