The first video of our second visit of orangutan baby Hujan, who was born this year at Krefeld Zoo. Due to a disease of the mother, he is raised by hand. He is developing magnificently.

A particularly obvious development step is that he can now climb quite well. In an interview with his main reference person, the zookeeper Eva Ravagni, we learn how the small little cute ape develops. We also see how he climbs on the exhibition and in his playpen.

At Zoo Krefeld, the orangutans are ambassadors of their endangered species in nature and the Monkey House team cares for them with much love and respect. Great apes, which like orang-utans are so threatened in the wild, need ambassadors of their species in modern zoos. Together with BOS, the Krefeld Zoo works for the the survival of orangutans in the wild.
