Unboxing the first of many Olympus camera that I have in line. One thing I really like about this kind of old digital point and shoot cameras is how they feel and look like a 35mm film compact camera! Do you prefer the old school chunky compacts (late 90s - early 2000s) or the modern pocketable ones (mid - late 2000s)?

The Olympus Camedia C-830L, introduced in 1999, is from the long line of Olympus Camedia Series from the 90s. The Camedia Series was Olympus’ contender against Canon's Powershot Series, Nikon's Coolpix Series, Fujifilm's Finepix series, and Sony's Cyber-shot series, to name a few.

With a fixed focal length of 5.5mm (or 36mm in full-frame equivalent) and an aperture of f/2.8, does it remind you of a Contax T2? But digital?
