I made a base to hold my Kreg Jig R3. The base consists of two lengths of 2x3 screwed to a plywood base. The 2x3's have a rabbet cut in them so the Kreg jig will sit flush with the face of both 2x3's. A bolt with a knob is used to squeeze the Kreg jig between the 2x3's, holding it in place. The thickness marks are transferred from the sliding stops that were originally on the jig onto the 2x3. I ordered a toggle clamp (🔗 http://amzn.com/B004K60H08) to keep the material tight against the jig while drilling.
