Just before UN climate negotiations began this week, we lit up the Hollywood Hills with a message to California Governor Gavin Newsom, President Biden, and other world leaders — we demand an end to the age of oil. #EndFossilFuels

If only the climate crisis were just a movie. But it’s real, it’s here, and it’s terrifying. Fossil fuels are driving record-breaking heat waves, wildfires, drought, and extreme weather in California and across the globe; destroying homes, lives, and the nature that sustains us. The world has been thrown out of balance and our most vulnerable communities are experiencing the most harm. Why? Because of the deception and greed of Big Oil villains like Exxon Mobil, Chevron, Conoco Phillips, Shell, and BP.

But the show is not over. Our people & planet deserve a Hollywood ending that ensures a clean, green, livable future for all.

We call on Governor Newsom, President Biden, and other world leaders to be the climate champions we so desperately need and end the use & expansion of the biggest climate killers: oil, gas, and coal. To survive this crisis, we will need a reckoning that forces fossil fuel polluters to stop drilling and start paying to fix the damage they’ve caused.
