In this video, we take a trip down memory lane and revisit a practical class 2010 in the Master Degree program of 3rd Semester Mass Communication from 13 years ago in Bangalore, India. Back then, we used camcorders to record in analogue format using DV cassettes in 576i SD (Standard Definition). The footage was later converted into digital format using video capture device installed in PC.

Although DSLR cameras like the Canon 5D and 7D were available in the market, it wasn't the trend back then and we were still using camcorders in our college. Fast forward to the present day, and students studying Mass Communication now have access to better cameras, digital media for recording, and improved computers for post production work.

In those days, recording in 1080 Full HD was a great thing which was possible through DSLR cameras like Canon 5D & 7D. Now 13 years later, the technology has come a long way, and now, 1080 Full HD is considered the bare minimum, with 4K being the new standard with all the mirrorless and cinema camera.
