We're very lucky to live in the city of Setúbal, Portugal. We can walk to the Sado River in less than 15 minutes. There are many activities on our river, including, regattas, kayaking, sailing, and taking the ferry to the Tróia peninsula. At the recommendation from friends, finally decided to go on the dolphin-watching cruise. We weren't disappointed.

We were able to speak with the marine biologist aboard our boat, who was surprised to see that migrating dolphins ventured into the river area. Usually, it is the Sado River's resident dolphins that are the stars of the dolphin tours. We were lucky.

I am not connected with the dolphin-watching tour company. I'm just impressed with the professionalism of the entire crew for making us all comfortable, yet respecting regulations that keep the dolphins and their habitat in order. This is a link to Dolphin Bay Pt.:
