What can I say... I'm never getting out of this loop, and for several reasons. Although I love each one of the sisters and am fond of their bonds (as trios and as pairs), these two kinda pulled at my heartstrings since, idk, always. They were sisters, best friends, partners in crime, and at times their relationship crossed the codependency line but more often than not they were just genuinely each other's rock and never shied away from criticising and praising the other. I truly believe they were soulmates and the love of each other's life and the fact that Prue literally turned back the clock to save her and, eventually, die for her... they had THAT once in a lifetime sisterly bond and portrayed it in such a effortlessly not-screaming-at-your-face way. Phoebe and Prue were just as beautiful and possibly much more complex and had a stronger development over the seasons, but Piper and Prue were always just there... Prue was Piper's light and Piper was Prue's everything.
Shannen passing hit me so hard because, to me, she was kinda immortal and the reason she passed is just such a sensitive subject for me at the moment... it really is so weird how the death of someone you didn't know can affect you that much. And the fact that Prue died onscreen as well makes it all so much harder because Piper's heartbreaking grieving will always be there just a rewatch away from me (and I believe it is so easy for the audience to feel her because she kind channeled everyone's sadness). Sometimes while vidding I felt like I was intruding because the way they wrote Piper's pain is so raw and real you kind feel like you are watching something you are not supposed to. I like to think that Prue was their guardian angel throughout their lives, Piper's especially, because you can see after S3 there is always this big dark cloud over her head that she can't quite shake off and I feel like she subtley looked for Prue in everything she did and saw after her death. Chris, her son, was a carbon copy of Prue, her little grandaughter had Prue's power... she was always there one way or another.
