I consider stretchy flats as a luxury absorbency. They can be pretty pricey when you buy them from a work at home person!
They’re a fraction of the price if you DIY them yourself and it’s fairly easy to do.

Prep it: by washing it and drying it multiple times
Measure it, then cut it. That’s it!
The edges don’t fray so you don’t have to sew them if you don’t want to.

My favorite fabrics:
Bamboo stretch French terry
Bamboo/hemp stretch French terry
Heavy bamboo stretch French terry
Hemp stretch French terry

Bamboo/hemp stretch fleece

When you’re looking for fabric notice the word “stretch” in the listing/title. That gives the fabric an extra stretch to it that’s perfect for stretchy flats. “French terry” is my favorite fabric

I always skip over any type of “jersey/bamboo jersey” because it’s thin and not as absorbent as French terry… but they cost the same. You get more for your money with French terry blends.
