Kalpeshwar - Fifth Temple of Panch Kedar | Uttrakhand | Yathra Time

Panchkedar signifies the five manifestations of nature namely Air , Fire , Water , Land and Sky. Amongst them today we are going to visit Kalpeshwar which signifies Water. Varna bhagawan is considered to be the leader of the Devalogam. Lord Indhiran is considered to be the god of Rains.

Arjunan happens to be the son of Lord Indhiran. Arjunan is considered to be the strongest amongst the Five Pandava brothers. Arjunan performed penance to lord Shiva and obtained the magical weapon Paasthuva . At Kalpeshwar Lord Shiva’s Hair [ Jadaa moodi ] was seen with a crutch in one direction and river Ganga on the other side. And then he disappeared. Arjunan , who is famous for his archery [ he can shoot with either hand ] prayed with the shiva lingham here

உரிய ஸ்தலமான கல்பேஸ்வர் எனும் கோவிலைக் காண உள்ளோம். வர்ண பகவான் தேவலோகத்தில் மழைக் கடவுளாக இருப்பவர் இந்திரன் அந்த மழைக் கடவுளின் மகன் தான் அர்ஜுனன் வில் வித்தையில் மிக சிறந்தவன். பஞ்ச பாண்டவர்களில் அர்ஜுனன் சிறந்த வீரன். சிவனிடம் பாஸ்துவ அஸ்தரம் பெற்றவர் அர்ஜுனன். பிறை ஒரு புறமும் கங்கை மறுபுறமும் தெரிய ஜடாமுடியில் காட்சி தந்து மறைந்த சிவபெருமானை வில்லுக்கு விஜயனான அர்ஜுனன் அங்கேயே சிவ லிங்கத்தை வைத்து பூஜை செய்ததாக கூறப்படுகிறது
