We didn't see any animals driving the Dalton Highway to the Arctic Ocean in remote Alaska. Which is crazy because it's a 15–20 hour drive depending how slow you go due to the bad road conditions.
But apparently today, all the arctic animals got the memo to come out! We saw hundreds of caribou crossing the Dalton Highway! A massive herd of wild caribou crossing all around us and the truck camper! That is INSANE!!
Right after the caribou herd, we spot a black dot in the distance. At first, we thought it was a grizzly. But it was a muskox! How cool! We've never seen muskox before. This is probably my favorite animal we have seen on this trip. They are so unique with the long fur coats and curved horns. And that little baby 😍
And we see another grizzly! He was scared of us, but more scared of the muskox!

We continue our trip down the Dalton Highway back to Fairbanks Alaska. The midnight sun shines on through the night as we enter the Brooks Range.
