I have done this many times, and it works fine for me and my customers
do not hurry as you are working.
I lubricate the zoom system and use "Super Lube" inside the lens
It's necessary to put grease in the grove, and JUST LITTLE amount is fine, it has a very good temperature range.
Be careful not to put grease on the lens glass element.
Use blue Thread Locker to Prevent Bolts from Loosening
it works very smoothly..
