Two years ago, I was having my first solo show at RJD Gallery in New York. The gallery caught fire one morning and $1.4 million worth of art was destroyed. 83 pieces were lost, including five of mine (Manifest, Gravity, Drift, Echoes and Resolve).

The name of my show at the time was "Face Reality." I made a new piece about the experience and named it after the show.

The gallery has since reopened in a larger space, with new works, including my "Face Reality." It has come back stronger than ever and last year was a record year for sales!

Luckily the artworks were insured because of the RJD team's persistent efforts.
