I am so grateful that I was able to attend college in the US for very little cost. I know this is not possible for many people, especially marginalized groups for whom opportunities are less available due to systemic racism and other issues. I recognize that this situation I am discussing is coming from a place of privilege, and I am very fortunate to have been granted a life where I could afford college and pursue a future I am passionate about.

That being said, being unable to attend the school of my dreams knowing I was accepted and I earned my spot there, was devastating. That was a very real and valid experience for not just me but many people around the country. I hope this video will help someone out there feel validated, and to also realize that sometimes what's best for us is not always what we think.
