Independence Cup 2023 kicked off.

Organised by All Tawang District Students Union(ATDSU) this year the much awaited event of the year Independence cup 2023 kicked off today. Dr Rinchin Neema I/c DMO Tawang and President of Arunachal Pradesh Olympic Association, Tawang Unit graced the inaugural ceremony as Chief Guest, Mr Abishek Deputy Commander 38th Bn SSB Tawang as Guest of honour, Others present as special guests were EAC Chioki Dondup, DDSE Hridar Phuntsok, CO Sangey Norbu, Asst Commander 55th Bn ITBP, Pem Tsering I/c FPO Tawang and other senior students leaders and sports lovers. A total of twenty eight teams are participating this year in the fight of annual district level soccer tournament. The winner of this competition will be awarded with prize money of 1,00,000/- plus trophy other prizes like best player, best goal keeper etc will be awarded as per the performance. Apart from Boys fight there will be girls tournament and exhibition matches also during the tournament which will culminate on 15 August 2023.

Opening match was played between D-club VS GHSST where D-Club won the match by 6-0 and in afternoon AMSU VS Rangyul where AMSU won the match by 3-0.

This tournament is being sponsored by all three ligislatures of Tawang District to give a platform to budding talents of the District.
